Prepare one clear plan
Use an existing floor plan or make a simple sketch. Mark the entrance, room uses, windows and major fixed features. Note which parts are measured and which are approximate. A consultant can ask for dimensions or better drawings if the initial sketch is insufficient.
Mark direction and context
Record how you determined north. Do not assume that the top of a drawing points north. Mention whether you own or rent the property and which changes are practical. For an office, explain how the spaces are actually used rather than only providing room names.
Bring focused questions
Choose three questions you would like explained. Share only the requested information through a verified contact channel; keep identity documents, account details and passwords out of photos. Before a session, confirm its scope, fee, duration and what written follow-up is included. Our checklist helps you organise this preparation; it does not grade your home.
